3rd - Sue Crayston, Wendy Mashiter from Silverdale and Ryan Crayston (junior) and Julie Amstead from Bentham with 125 stableford points
4th - R Wilson, S Barclay, M McPhee and M Wilson from Carus Green with 124 stableford points
Congratulations to the Ladies Shield team
On Tuesday 20th May, the Ladies Shield team won the Westmorland and North West Lancashire Nett Trophy with an aggregate score of 377 (the five best nett scores to count). The competition was held at Bentham Golf Club with 14 clubs competing. The photo of the team of Trudy Hubbard (captain) with Sarah Hunter, Wendy Mashiter, Lynn Penswick , Carroll Ashton, Sue Chapman and Sue Crayston was taken at our own club last Sunday so the team were not in the team colours. Lynn Penswick scored the best nett score with 73. Last year the same team won the Gross Trophy. So well done ladies.
On the previous day Monday 19th May, four of the team, Trudy, Sarah, Sue and Lynn competed in the Lancashire Ladies County Golf Association (NW division) competition with our team coming 5th out of 19 clubs and Royal Lytham St Annes being the winners.
