This is a popular section of the club for those who are retired or over 55. They meet on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays throughout the year for an afternoon of golf. A programme of monthly medals ( April to October)for the over 60’s only are played but most of their golf is for fun. Friendly matches are arranged with clubs as far away as Cockermouth and Fishwick (Preston). The seniors also organise a Senior Open, a golfing holiday, an all prize Christmas Bottle Competition and dinner in December and a deadly serious competition for a trophy against the Ladies. The Ladies section has sometimes won!
The aim of the Seniors’ section is to provide a facility which will attract new (retired) members, assuring them of a warm welcome at all times.
