We were very lucky to have such wonderful weather for Captains’ Day on Saturday 9 June. The course had been prepared very well by Mark, Tom and Graham and everyone enjoyed the golf and refreshments provided on the Captains’ buggy. It was too hot for most to drink the beer but plenty of water, juice and snacks was consumed by the players. The competition was an individual stableford off full handicap for ladies (who also received 3 courtesy shots) and men, with men over the age of 60 having the option of playing off the yellow tees. Those wishing to use the event as one of the qualifying competitions for the Diamond Trophy League had to play off the white tees though!
