Our Captain this year is Steve Abbott. He joined the Club in 2015 when he and his wife Jan returned to Burton-in-Kendal having spent the previous 12 years in Hong Kong. Steve and Jan have four children and nine grandchildren. Before going to Hong Kong, Steve was a member of Shrigley Hall Golf Club, near Macclesfield and when he left in 2003 to travel to HK, he had a handicap of 11, heady times ! On Friday 24 April at 7 p.m. our A.G.M. was held on the Zoom video conferencing platform. It was pleasing that 40 members "tuned in". The minutes can be viewed here.
