We have just gone over 900 likes on our Facebook page and we would like to thank everyone who helped us to get to this total. Course to Re-open Wednesday 13 May
Good news! The Board is delighted to confirm that the course will be open from tomorrow, 13th May, at 0900hrs. Bookings via BRS or the Proshop are open now.
In addition to the temporary extra regulations set out in the earlier bulletin, please note the following:
• only members are permitted to play, not guests or visitors.
• Only 9 holes are available for the time being: these are hole 1 then holes 11-18.
• Start at hole 1.
• Please play 9 holes only - don't go round fo

"The Board of SGC have received some preliminary advice from England Golf in relation to the resumption of the playing of golf following last night's Government announcement. Further information may well be forthcoming following the Prime Minister's speech in the House of Commons this afternoon. Meet Our 2020 Captains
Our Captain this year is Steve Abbott. He joined the Club in 2015 when he and his wife Jan returned to Burton-in-Kendal having spent the previous 12 years in Hong Kong. Steve and Jan have four children and nine grandchildren. Before going to Hong Kong, Steve was a member of Shrigley Hall Golf Club, near Macclesfield and when he left in 2003 to travel to HK, he had a handicap of 11, heady times ! A.G.M. Minutes
On Friday 24 April at 7 p.m. our A.G.M. was held on the Zoom video conferencing platform. It was pleasing that 40 members "tuned in". The minutes can be viewed here.
