Silverdale Ladies

For ladies, playing golf at Silverdale is a great experience in many ways.

The course is of two very different halves so you have variety and a chance to hone different golfing skills.

The ladies at the Club are very friendly and always ready to help new members, not only to play but to encourage them to become part of our Social calendar.

In the 2018 Handicap Shield we won 7 out of 10 matches and went forward to the Final and, after a closely fought match, lost to Lytham Green Drive.

We play several LLCGA inter-club events; our Bronze team coming 4th out of 17 at Knott End. Others were at Fishwick Hall and Windermere golf clubs and were well up the results table.

We hosted the 1906 Bank Holiday Monday competition last year and retained the Trophy!

The LLGCA NW Divisional Finals of the Scott Leggatt foursomes were successfully held at Silverdale. We received a lovely review from the organizers after this.

Towards the end of the summer golf season we play friendly matches against five local Golf clubs. This gives a chance for higher handicapped ladies to play in less pressurized competitions both at home and away matches, and is always good fun and friendly.

We hold an Invitation day every year and there are many other competitions where we are invited or host special events where good prizes may be won and good friendships formed.

The Ladies always have a holiday away, usually at a Hotel Golf & Spa venue over three days.

Golf matches, supporting the two Captain's choice of Charities, as well as many fundraising social events, are a great way to integrate and make friends.
