Captain vs President Competition
The Captain's team versus the President's team is the customary start to the golfing season at Silverdale Golf Club - and what a great time we had! The weather was lovely and the course was in very good condition.
Firstly the incoming Captains had their drive-in and the subsequent wagers on the distances raised £130 for their charities (Pancreatic Cancer UK and the Multiple Sclerosis Society).
When we met back at the clubhouse we discovered that the scores were in fact tied awaiting the last group to return. When they arrived, the President, Lady Captain and Captain made short speeches and we discovered that the Pesident's team had been victorious.
After a scrummy pie and peas meal, we then had the 100 Club draw. A lovely day all round.
