Why Ospreys you may ask? Well at Silverdale Golf Club we occasionally spot ospreys flying over the course. Most sightings are on the front nine and we think that they are the ospreys of nearby Foulshaw Moss who sometimes feed in the ponds at Leighton Moss. We are happy to announce the return of the breeding male (WhiteYW) and hope that his partner (Blue35) will join him in the next few days. With golf returning on March 29th, you may be looking to join a golf club. Have a look at Silverdale - we have everything you'd want from a golf course! We have a fantastic 18 hole course set in beautiful surroundings, practice areas and buggy hire. We have a Professional (David Sutcliffe), a fully stocked proshop and a golf studio. Once lockdown is over you will find a recently refurbished clubhouse with a fully stocked bar and excellent caterers (Chefs Catering NorthWest).
Just imagine it. You are on the first tee at Silverdale Golf Club making your first tee shot for 3 months. Our Captain for 2021 is Andy Schofield. He was born & bred in East Kilbride & moved to Carnforth for work in 2001 where he met his wife Jo & stepchildren Stephen & Rachael. He has worked in the travel industry for 20 years and is fortunate that his job has taken him to many parts of the world.
